This weekend, 15 Ducati riders are competing in the Lenovo Race of Champions at Misano, part of the World Ducati Week. On Friday afternoon, Andrea Iannone clinched pole position, beating MotoGP double world champion Francesco Bagnaia.

All riders are on identical Panigale V4s. Iannone set the fastest lap of 1m35.051s around 2 minutes and 45 seconds from the end, surpassing Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team, MotoGP), who was leading. Iannone, riding for Team GoEleven in World Superbike, edged out Bagnaia by just 40 thousandths of a second.

At the time, the third place was held by Fabio Di Giannantonio (Pertamina Enduro VR46, MotoGP), who remained in that position. The Italian was 0.236s off pole and completes the first row of the grid.

Nicolò Bulega (Aruba.it Ducati, WSBK) will start from fourth, alongside Marc Márquez (Gresini, MotoGP) and Marco Bezzecchi (Pertamina Enduro VR46, MotoGP). Further down the grid, Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac Racing, MotoGP) will start from tenth, while Álvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Ducati, WSBK) qualified in 14th place.
