Pedro Acosta has been tied to KTM for several years and made his MotoGP factory team debut this season. However, his stay could be short-lived, depending on results and the bike’s performance.

According to AS, there is a growing possibility that the Spaniard could join the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Ducati team next year. However, this scenario remains distant. The team currently has Fabio Di Giannantonio under contract until the end of 2026, while Franco Morbidelli is only signed for this season.

Acosta’s manager, Albert Valera, emphasized that his future with KTM depends on performance: ‘We hope things go very well with KTM and that we can stay for many years. It depends on KTM. Pedro is committed to the brand, and his goal is to win World Championships with KTM’.

Although Acosta remains loyal to KTM and prioritizes the Austrian manufacturer, he didn’t hold back in praising Ducati’s Gigi Dall’Igna for his impressive work: ‘Of course, Gigi is one step ahead of the others. That’s clear. Looking at how the category has evolved, in the end, he was the one who invented many of the things we are all using now […]. They are a step ahead. What do I like about them? I wish I could try one to say what I like more about that bike than mine’.
