Álex Márquez could hardly dream of a more positive start to the season, and although he is still looking for his first MotoGP victory, in long races, the truth is that the Gresini Racing rider is scoring more points than ever.

In the top category since 2020, Álex Márquez is in his fifth season and third with Ducati, and although the first season didn’t go well, the truth is that he is achieving records never achieved before.

Interestingly, #73 achieved in two rounds practically the same number of points as it had achieved in 2023 and 2024, seasons already with Sprint races, but in eight rounds. Specifically Álex currently has 58 points compared to the 63 he had in 2023 in eight rounds, and 62 in 2024 in the same eight rounds.

Historically the Spaniard is heading for his best season and probably on a grand scale. Here are Álex’s records, in total points per season, since he has been in MotoGP:

2020 – 74 points
2021 – 70
2022 – 50
2023 – 177 – eighth round, with 63
2024 – 173 – eighth round, with 62
2025 – 58 – after two rounds

It is worth mentioning that so far Álex Márquez «only knows» one position in 2025, having finished second in both Sprints, as well as the long races held, always behind his brother Marc.
