The 2024 Moto3 world champion finally made his Moto2 debut, and the Thai GP proved to be a grueling challenge for David Alonso – who, like the other riders, had to contend with the intense heat in Buriram.

The Colombian from CFMOTO Inde Aspar was far from the front throughout the race, finishing 21st after gaining two positions on the penultimate lap. Quoted by Motosan.es, he did not hide how difficult the race was:

– After Misano in 2021, Thailand in 2025 was the second worst race of my life. The only good thing is that at the end of the race, in the last five laps, I managed to understand something, I was able to enjoy the bike a little and finish with a different feeling.

Alonso elaborated on his experience: ‘I felt like, «What am I doing here?». It was really tough, even in terms of riding. The good thing is that I completed 22 laps, and by doing so, I was able to feel the heat. When I stopped, my hands were tingling, so I got to experience all these sensations and keep them in mind for the future’.
