Manuel González will start from pole position for the Moto2 Thai GP. The fight lasted until the end this afternoon in Buriram, with only 0.036s separating the top two.

Qualifying began with Q1, where 12 riders fought for one of the last four spots in the battle for pole position. Darryn Binder (Italjet Gresini/Ducati) led from his first flying lap and secured a spot in Q2.

Daniel Holgado (CFMOTO Inde Aspar/Kalex) and Adrián Huertas (Italtran Racing Team/Kalex) also set their best laps very early… unlike Celestino Vietti (Team HDR Heidrun/Boscoscuro), who only secured fourth place on his last attempt, eliminating Iván Ortolá (QJMOTOR-Frinsa-MSi/Boscoscuro) by 0.075s.

The intensity was constant throughout Q2, with uncertainty about the outcome. On his penultimate lap, González (Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact/Kalex) set the fastest lap (1m34.634s) to secure pole position. Vietti, coming from Q1, was unable to improve. Arón Canet (Fantic Racing Lino Sonego/Kalex) completes the front row of the grid.
