Leadership at the beginning, a brief moment out of the lead, but then the recovery and no longer his surrender. This was Jose Antonio Rueda’s race today in Buriram, with the KTM Ajo rider taking victory in the opening round of the championship.

In the closed park, the driver was happy with the triumph achieved, this being a very positive way to start the year, and with a word to Álvaro Carpe: ‘Starting like this is fantastic and I can’t describe it. I’m very happy with the team, very happy and proud, and also with my teammate. It’s the second or third time I’ve been on the podium with my teammate and I’m very happy with him.’

And the Spaniard knows the recipe for success: ‘I’m happy to have started like this and now it’s time to keep working’.

Rueda achieved something very rare in the category, finishing with an advantage of more than 7s in Moto3.
