Ducati has been the great reference in the MotoGP and WSBK world championships in recent years, with its hegemony being halted in Superbikes in 2024 by BMW. Gigi Dall’Igna recalled Toprak Razgatlioglu’s words, before giving free advice to the German manufacturer, accompanied by a “warning.”

After Razgatlioglu labeled the WSBK as a ‘Ducati Cup’ at the end of the category’s opening round in Phillip Island last month, Dall’Igna recalled, as quoted by SPEEDWEEK.com, how the manufacturer is very coveted by other teams – as satellites – given its competitiveness, and how the year 2024 was precisely what the now #1 “complains” about: ‘[…] His season was excellent. He won 13 consecutive races – so it was more or less a BMW Cup, because he dominated from start to finish […]’.

And with the Turkish rider’s words in mind, who admitted after the round in Australia many problems with the chassis of his BMW M1000RR, the Italian, General Director of Ducati Corse left a “hint” to the competition and took the opportunity to warn that the Borgo Panigale team will not stop trying to find its best level:

– If we were BMW, we would certainly have transferred the 2024 chassis to the production model, because we want to offer our customers the best possible material. We’re going to raise the bar a little next year. As always, we are trying to establish the best possible technology, proven in racing, in the road version.
