Bo Bendsneyder’s full-time debut in the Supersport World Championship will start from pole position. The rider, who contested the final rounds of last season, was the fastest in Superpole this Friday at Phillip Island.

After already making an impression in testing, the MV Agusta Reparto Corse rider led most of the Superpole session: he took the lead just three minutes in and improved his time three times, eventually setting a 1m32.310s lap that secured him pole position.

Tom Booth-Amos (PTR Triumph), who briefly held the top spot, finished second, 0.189s behind, followed by the experienced Lucas Mahias (GMT94 Yamaha) completing the front row.

Can Öncü (Yamaha bLU cRU Evan Bros) will start from fourth, ahead of Valentin Debise (Renzi Corse/Ducati) – who was the fastest in free practice but ended up 0.414s off pole position. Another rookie, Jaume Masiá (Orelac Racing Verdnatura/Ducati), secured sixth place in Superpole.
