The 2024 season of the World Supersport (WorldSSP) and Supersport 300 (WorldSSP300) Championships will be marked in history for broken records, unprecedented achievements, and impressive statistics. With exciting and competitive races, the season brought significant milestones for both riders and manufacturers. Here are the highlights of an unforgettable year.

WorldSSP: Record Number of Leaders and Historic Milestones for Yamaha and Ducati
The 2024 season saw the consolidation of historic marks and the setting of new standards of excellence in WorldSSP:

  • 400/100: Yamaha reached the impressive milestone of 400 podiums thanks to Stefano Manzi’s second place in Race 1 at Aragon. In turn, Ducati reached 100 podiums with Adrián Huertas’ third place in Race 1 at Jerez. By the end of the season, these numbers rose to 408 and 101, respectively.
  • 160/151: Raffaele De Rosa became the rider with the most races in the category’s history, surpassing Fabien Foret by reaching 160 participations, a record achieved in Race 2 at Magny-Cours.
  • 19/18: Manzi accumulated 19 podiums, surpassing champion Huertas’ 18. Despite this, the Spaniard was more effective in victories, with 10 wins against the Italian’s five.
  • 15: A record was set in 2024, with 15 different riders leading at least one race. Among them, names like Montella, Huertas, Manzi, and Tuuli stood out.
  • 3: For the first time in history, three riders exceeded the mark of 10 podiums in a single season: Manzi (19), Huertas (18), and Montella (14).
  • 2/1: The 2024 season also brought prominence to the Netherlands, with two Dutch riders climbing to the podium: Glenn van Straalen (two podiums) and Bo Bendsneyder (one podium in just four races).

WorldSSP300: Yamaha’s Hundred Podiums and Indonesia’s First World Champion
The World Supersport 300 Championship continued to offer extremely competitive racing and memorable statistics:

  • 100/183: Yamaha celebrated its 100th podium in the category thanks to Jose Luís Salvador’s victory in Race 1 at Jerez, while Kawasaki leads with 183 accumulated podiums.
  • 100: Spain reached its 100th podium in WorldSSP300 with Julio Garcia’s third place in Portimão, ending the season with 109 in total.
  • 60: Kawasaki achieved its 60th victory in the championship with Hugo Iglesias’ win in Race 1 at Misano, more than double the second most successful manufacturer, Yamaha (28).
  • 13: Jeffrey Buis reinforced his lead in the list of historical winners with 13 victories, securing two wins in 2024.
  • 1: Indonesia celebrated its first World Champion in the category, with Aldi Mahendra conquering the 2024 title.
  • 1: Julio Garcia gave Kove its first victory in WorldSSP300, meaning all five manufacturers that participated in the category now have a victory in their record.
  • 0.003: The season was marked by thrilling finishes, including the second closest finish in category history, when only 0.003 seconds separated Salvador from Julio Garcia in Race 1 at Jerez.

2024: A Year to Remember
With a mix of emerging talent, consolidated dominance, and unpredictable races, the 2024 WorldSSP and WorldSSP300 season stood out as one of the most exciting ever. Broken records and new chapters written reinforce the growing appeal of these championships in the global motorsport landscape.
