The MXGP Motocross World Championship has arrived in Europe, with Tim Gajser winning the MXGP of Castilla La Mancha qualifying race. It took place this Saturday in Cózar.
Maxime Renaux had the best start, leading the early laps, but on the fifth lap, the Monster Energy Yamaha rider could no longer hold off Gajser (Honda HRC). From that point on, the Slovenian gave no chances, finishing 10.476s ahead of Renaux.
Pauls Jonass (Kawasaki) came out on top in an exciting battle for third place, staying close to the rider ahead of him. Brian Bogers (Fantic) finished fourth.
Glenn Coldenhoff (Fantic) rounded off the top five. Lucas Coenen (Red Bull KTM) was in contention for the top three at one point but ended up in sixth place.
