Tom Vialle and Haiden Deegan were the big winners of the Ironman National for MX 250, which took place this weekend and marked the end of the season for the category.

With the title already secured, all eyes were on the fight for second place, with Levi Kitchen the frontrunner but with Vialle within reach to try and take the position by storm, and things could hardly have gone better for the Frenchman: he won the first race and beat Kitchen, who was second, while Jordon Smith was third.RJ Hampshire and Ty Masterpool rounded off the top five respectively.

In the second race, the winner was the main figure of the year, who ended the season on a high note: Haiden Deegan. Chance Hymas was second and Hampshire third, while Vialle finished fourth and Ryder DiFrancesco finished fifth.

Kitchen saw bad luck knock on his door and crashed, handing second place definitively to Vialle, who ended the day with the most points, 43. Hymas and Hampshire both scored 38, with Deegan taking 36 and Smith 34.

With this score Vialle moved up to second place in the overall standings, and Kitchen finished the year in third.

In the second heat, Deegan limited himself to digesting the overall triumph and became more defensive, unlike Levi Kitchen, his most direct rival, who gave everything to achieve victory.

With one round to go before the end of the championship, it still remains to be seen, among the most desired places, who will finish as second and third, as Tom Vialle can still mathematically reach second place in the classification table.

The winner of the AMA Pro Motocross 250 has been found! Haiden Deegan secured championship victory after controlling events at the Budds Creek National, winning the first race and taking no risks in the second. Levi Kitchen scored the most points but had no arguments – in general – to counter his opponent.

The Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing rider went into this round with a 70-point lead over Kitchen -. when 100 were up for grabs in total (50 per round, 25 per race), and I knew I could seal the title right now.

And that’s exactly what happened! It was with great desire and speed that Deegan went on the attack in the first race at Budds Creek, securing the holeshot and leading all 17 laps of the circuit to immediately mathematically confirm the title in the category, and Kitchen, who finished third with More than 16 seconds of delay, nothing could prevent the opponent from seeing the party, he was even beaten by Tom Vialle, who achieved another podium in the current season – his 12th.

With the title already confirmed, Deegan took a calmer approach and the result was “secondary” in the second race. There Kitchen won, with Chance Hymas crossing the finish line in second with 3.771s and behind to #47, while Vialle finished on the podium again.

Deegan thus confirmed the title, he has 445 points in the classification, 62 more than Kitchen.

Vialle’s two podiums also ensured that the Frenchman is at least third in the championship, with the possibility of finishing second being a reality: Kitchen is “only” 14 points away.

The AMA Pro Motocross returned this weekend and with some of the best to get on the action with a win each: Haiden Deegan and Levi Kitchen. At the Unadilla National both riders got to win a race each, while the other finished on second.

Deegan was the great winner of the first moto, taking his Yamaha YZ250F to the top of the race, finishing with a 1.581s gap to Kitchen. Max Anstie took the last place of the podium, with Jo Shimoda and Garrett Marchbanks to close to top five.

Then on the second moto the scenario was a bit different but not so much when it came to the first two. There was a switch of positions however, with Kitchen to be the winner this time and with a great difference to Deegan: 15.694s to be exact.

With more than 30 second of delay came Tom Vialle to take another podium this championship, as Jalek Swoll was more than 13s behind the french. Marchbanks closed once again the top five.

Looking at the overall standings Deegan remains as the man to beat and has one hand on the title: there are still 100 points at stack – in two rounds – but he leads with a 70 point gap to Kitchen, while Vialle is 81 points behind.

The AMA Pro Motocross 250 stage had Tom Vialle and Haideen Deegan as the big stars, with both winning one moto each, and being equally beaten by each other in both.

In the first moto, Tom Vialle managed to be the strongest at the start but Deegan was fighting and almost side by side with the Frenchman, who would however end up winning that initial battle. Behind him were Ryder DiFrancesco, Jordan Smith, Jo Shimoda, Ty Masterpool, Chance Hymas, among others.

The leading pair immediately began to pull away, but Deegan made a small mistake and crashed, handing second place to DiFrancesco. However, Deegan quickly regained position, overtaking DiFrancesco and from then on began to aim for first place, gradually intensifying the attack towards the end.

However, Vialle would secure victory in the end, ahead of Deegan and Jo Shimoda rounding out the top three.

In the second moto Vialle again hit the holeshot under the eyes of Deegan and DiFrancesco, and as happened before, the leading pair began to pull away.

If the film from the first moto seemed to repeat itself, Deegan ensured that this would not happen, by applying stronger pressure this time, and he would actually end up overtaking his opponent and accelerating since then, achieving victory with a large advantage of 14s.

DiFrancesco, however, had no arguments to defend third place and was beaten by Shimoda, Levi Kitchen and Pierce Brown.

In the end, both Deegan and Vialle won 47 points, 7 more than Shimoda who was third.

Spring Creek hosted another round of the AMA 250MX and Levi Kitchen was the main figure in taking two victories. Haiden Deegan had a difficult day, with crashes and problems, but still managed a 3-4.

The race started in the best possible way for the championship leader who won today, with rookie Casey Cochran behind, as well as Kitchen and Ty Masterpool, but, after the first lap, Deegan remained in front, now with Kitchen, Tom Vialle, Cochran and Jo Shimoda.

Nine minutes later Deegan crashed, resumed the race in third but had “handed over” the lead to Kitchen, Vialle in second. Many minutes followed with changes and changes, Deegan was chasing Vialle, and the Frenchman in turn was attacking Shimoda, and even managed to beat #30, something that Deegan would do shortly after.

In the end Kitchen won by 0.1590s over Vialle, while Deegan was third.

The second moto in the category got off to a chaotic start, with a multiple crash involving Deegan in the first corner. Despite the damage to his bike, Deegan managed to recover to fourth place but, in the end, he would be unable to stop the competition from making up ground, as far as the championship counts were concerned.

Casey Cochran led most of the race, but was passed by Kitchen in the final minutes. Tom Vialle, who was a championship points contender, retired from the race after a crash, and other drivers also had problems, such as Chance Hymas, who he inexplicably abandoned, and Jo Shimoda, with front wheel problems.

In the end Kitchen confirmed the double, with the rookie Cochran in second and Max Anstie in third.

The RedBud National hosted the sixth round of the AMA Pro Motocross season last weekend. Chase Sexton (450 MX) and Chance Hymas (250 MX) celebrated their wins in Buchanan.

In the 450 MX class, Hunter Lawrence (Team Honda HRC) took the holeshot in the first race and led almost the entire distance… until he made a mistake on the penultimate lap, allowing Sexton (Red Bull KTM) to pass him. Once in the lead, Sexton didn’t waste the opportunity, winning with a 15.509s lead. Justin Cooper (Monster Energy Yamaha Star) finished third.

Jason Anderson (Monster Energy Kawasaki) grabbed the holeshot in the second race and led the first two laps until Sexton overtook him. From the third lap onwards, no one could beat Sexton, who gradually built a lead, finishing 21.179s ahead of Aaron Plessinger (Red Bull KTM), who passed Anderson on the sixth lap. Therefore, Sexton won the round with a maximum of 50 points, ten more than Plessinger and Lawrence.

As for the 250 MX, the class started with Ty Masterpool (Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki) grabbing the holeshot in race 1, but Chance Hymas (Team Honda HRC) overtook him on the first lap. By lap 10, Masterpool regained the lead definitively and managed to resist Haiden Deegan (Monster Energy Yamaha Star). Tom Vialle (Red Bull KTM) finished third, and Hymas ended up in fourth place.

The second race in the category was quite different. Hymas took the holeshot and led from start to finish. He had a lead of over eight seconds at one point but ended up beating Jo Shimoda (Team HRC) by 3.023s. Levi Kitchen (Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki) finished third, with Masterpool in fourth and Kitchen in fifth. Thus, Hymas sealed the victory in this round of 250 MX, scoring 43 points: just one more than Masterpool. Shimoda completed the podium with 39 points.
