The most recent round of the AMA Supercross 250SX was marked by intense battles and twists. Chance Hymas got off to a good start, but Tom Vialle quickly took the lead, engaging in a duel with Max Anstie, who, while trying to defend his position, crashed and ended up at the back of the pack early in the race.

Vialle maintained a strong pace but felt pressure from RJ Hampshire and Levi Kitchen, who overtook Hymas and closed in on the leader. Hampshire eventually passed Vialle in a banked section of the track, taking the race lead. Meanwhile, Kitchen secured third place, but a mistake while attempting a wheelie resulted in a violent crash, leading to the red flag and a temporary race stoppage.

In the restart, Hampshire held the lead, despite pressure from Vialle. Anstie, who had crashed at the start, staged a remarkable recovery, quickly climbing to eighth place. Meanwhile, the battle for third place intensified, with Seth Hammaker overtaking Hymas after a well-executed maneuver in a jump section.

In the end, RJ Hampshire secured a well-deserved victory, followed by Tom Vialle and Seth Hammaker, who completed the podium. Max Anstie, despite the initial misfortune, managed to recover to sixth place, securing important championship points.

The latest round of AMA Supercross 250SX provided motorsport fans with a spectacle full of adrenaline and unexpected twists. The race had an intense start, with Chance Hymas appearing to secure the holeshot, but Tom Vialle quickly took the lead while navigating the first turn. The Frenchman engaged in a direct duel with Max Anstie, who, while trying to defend his position, got caught on one of the protective blocks and fell, relegating him to last place right at the beginning of the race.

Vialle established a strong pace in the lead but quickly felt pressure from RJ Hampshire and Levi Kitchen, who soon overtook Hymas in the battle for second place. Hampshire, determined to claim victory, caught up to the French rider and staged an exciting duel for the lead. The decisive pass came in an inclined section of the track, where Hampshire used the outside line to take the front of the race.

The battle for third place also brought excitement, with Kitchen managing to overtake Hymas. However, shortly after, a fatal error compromised his race. While attempting to perform a ‘wheelie’ to overcome a valley, his Kawasaki suffered a violent impact, resulting in a spectacular crash. The accident led to the display of the red flag and an interruption of the race for rider assistance and grid restructuring for a staggered restart.

At the restart, Hampshire remained in the lead, followed by Vialle, Hymas, Hammaker, Bennick, and Mumford. Despite a slight hesitation that almost allowed Vialle to recover the position, Hampshire managed to maintain his advantage. Anstie, who had started in 11th position after the initial incident, demonstrated an impressive recovery by quickly climbing to eighth place.

In the final moments of the race, attention focused on the dispute for the last podium position between Hymas and Hammaker. The latter showed great determination and made the decisive pass by tripling through a section where Hymas only doubled the jumps, thus securing third place.

With the checkered flag signaling the end of the race, RJ Hampshire celebrated a well-deserved victory, followed by Tom Vialle and Seth Hammaker completing the podium. Max Anstie, despite the initial setback, managed to minimize the damage by finishing in a respectable sixth place, securing valuable points in the championship battle.

AMA Supercross 250SX continues to demonstrate why it is one of the most exciting motocross competitions, leaving fans eagerly anticipating the next confrontation on the tracks.

AMA Supercross returned to AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, for the seventh round of the season and the second event in the Triple Crown format. In the 250SX class, Haiden Deegan was the big star of the night, taking the overall win with a consistent performance and taking over the championship lead.

Race 1: Deegan seizes opportunity and wins

The first race of the night began with Jo Shimoda taking the lead, but a mistake in the sand section threw everything away for the Japanese rider. With Shimoda out of the lead, Coty Schock and Jordon Smith took control of the race and alternated at the front of the pack. However, just when it looked like Smith could secure victory, a dramatic crash in the whoops section took him out of the race with one lap to go.

The winner was Haiden Deegan, who had come from just behind and inherited the lead. The young Yamaha rider crossed the finish line first, followed by Schock and Michael Mosiman, ensuring a podium totally dominated by Yamaha.

Smith, who had to be assisted by the medical team, managed to raise his arms to the crowd before being taken off the track, receiving a huge ovation from the fans.

Race 2: Deegan repeats win and moves to within a whisker of overall victory

In the second race, Michael Mosiman took the early lead, followed by Garrett Marchbanks and Coty Schock. However, Haiden Deegan quickly showed his speed, overtaking championship leader Julien Beaumer and moving into the top spots.

After an intense chase with Mosiman, Deegan managed to overtake his rival in the final moments of the race and secured his second consecutive victory of the night. With two wins in the first two races, the Yamaha rider was in an excellent position to take overall victory in the event.

Race 3: Deegan secures night’s title despite Davies’ win

At 1-1 in the first two races, Deegan knew he didn’t necessarily need to win the final heat to secure the night’s title. The start was dominated by Coty Schock, followed by Julien Beaumer and Cole Davies. The latter showed great speed and quickly took the lead of the race, shooting ahead to victory.

Deegan, meanwhile, had to battle with Beaumer, with both engaging in an intense duel full of blocking and overtaking. Eventually, Deegan managed to overtake his rival and secured second place in the race, enough to secure first place overall on the night with 1-1-2.

Davies celebrated victory in the third race with an impressive whip over the finish line, but his inconsistent placings throughout the night (4-17-1) placed him only seventh overall. Coty Schock, meanwhile, secured second place overall with 2-4-6, earning his first career podium. Michael Mosiman completed the top 3 in the overall standings with 3-2-7.

Julien Beaumer, who was leading the championship before the race, finished only sixth overall (6-8-4), ceding the championship lead to Haiden Deegan.

Deegan takes the championship lead

With this win in Arlington, Haiden Deegan becomes the first 250SX rider to repeat a win this season and takes over the championship lead. The young Yamaha talent showed speed, consistency and maturity throughout the night, establishing himself as one of the main contenders for the title.

The AMA Supercross now moves on to the next round, where the fight for the title promises to continue.

The 250SX class of the AMA Supercross provided an intense race at Ford Field in Detroit, with tense moments, a serious crash and a dramatic restart that changed the outcome of the race.

Max Anstie made an impeccable start, taking the holeshot and quickly distancing himself from the rest of the pack. Levi Kitchen took second position and tried to reduce the Briton’s lead, but to no avail. Meanwhile, Cameron McAdoo crashed and lost five places, dropping from fourth to ninth.

AD
The big drama of the night came when McAdoo crashed badly in the undulations, hitting his face on the handlebars and falling in a worrying way. With just seven seconds on the clock and Anstie leading by seven seconds, the red flag was thrown to allow the Alpinestars medical team to assist the Kawasaki rider. McAdoo was placed in a neck brace and helped off the track, before being transported for medical assessment.

The AMA decided to restart the race with a format similar to NASCAR’s “green-white-checkered”, nullifying Anstie’s comfortable lead and putting Kitchen and RJ Hampshire on his rear wheel. Soon after the restart, Kitchen showed aggression and, after a few attempts, managed to overtake Anstie to take the lead. The driver held on to his position until the final flag, taking the win. Anstie, despite the setback, secured second place, while Hampshire secured third, without taking any unnecessary risks.

Nate Thrasher had a solid race finishing fifth, despite racing with a broken finger. Chance Hymas repeated his sixth position from the previous week, while Austin Forkner, who came from the LCQ (Last Chance Qualifier), managed a respectable seventh place. Carson Mumford, Max Vohland and Henry Miller completed the top 10. Cullin Park, who had been showing good pace, suffered a crash after the restart, which compromised his final position.

With this result, the fight for the 250SX championship remains intense, promising more emotions at the next round of AMA Supercross.
